Overwatch League Getting First Female Player

Overwatch League Getting First Female Player

While the official announcement hasn’t been made yet, ESPN has reported that Kim “Geguri” Se-yeon of South Korea will join the Overwatch League’s Shanghai Dragons. This will make her the first female player to be signed by an Overwatch League team.

Geguri holds the number 6 tank spot on the South Korean ladder, and previously played for ROX Orcas. She has said she does not believe her gender is what kept her from being signed earlier.

But now she has been, Geguri can only improve the lineup of the Shanghai Dragons–who are currently the worst in the league with a 0-8 record.
