Rick and Morty Takes Home an Emmy

ICYMI, Rick and Morty won the 2018 Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program. Season 3’s episode “Pickle Rick” edged out all the other contenders, producing a win for the show’s first Emmy nomination.

Rick and Morty first aired in December 2013, and was recently renewed for another seventy episodes.

More established shows also took home important award. Family Guy’s Alex Borstein, who voices Lois Griffin and several other characters, won the Emmy for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance. And Game of Thrones ended the evening with seven Emmy wins for its seventh season.
