StarCraft II Goes Free-To-Play

Starting today,  StarCraft II will be free to play.

Players will get the original Wings of Liberty single-player campaign, all the current and future Co-op Commanders up to level five (without the level restrictions on weekly mutations and with unlimited leveling-up for Raynor, Kerrigan, and Artanis), and the ranked multiplayer mode (unlocked permanently by earning 10 First Wins of the Day in either Unranked or Vs. AI play).

Players who already own Wings of Liberty will get the second StarCraft II installment, Heart of the Swarm, for free by logging in before December 8. For those who don’t already own Wings of Liberty, all the additional single player campaigns will be available to purchase.
